How do scientific discoveries about human origins relate to people’s personal understandings of the world? Join Dr. Jim Miller, co-chair of the Smithsonian Institution’s Broader Social Impacts Committee, in a conversation that will explore the variety of ways human evolution connects to personal meaning. The conversation will invite the audience to express their views, understand each other’s perspectives, and identify areas of common interest or concern. He will be joined by Dr. Briana Pobiner, scientist and educator in the Smithsonian’s Human Origins Program.
