HOT (Human Origins Today) Topic: The Search for Meaning in an Unfinished Universe

May 29, 2015 - 4:00pm to 5:00pm
Location: Hall of Human Origins, NMNH, Smithsonian Institution
The perennial human quest for meaning, a stirring that first arose in the religious aspirations of early humans, has not been quieted. It now awakens in the context of an unfinished universe. What is the meaning of religious faith, then, if the universe in which it has come to expression is still coming into being?

Come join our discussion about the search for meaning in an unfinished universe with Dr. John F. Haught, Professor Emeritus in the Theology Department at Georgetown University, and Dr. James B. Miller, co-chair of the Smithsonian Human Origins Program's Broader Social Impacts Committee.
