HOT (Human Origins Today) Topic Virtual Program: Reconstructing Environments Of Our Ancient Ancestors [ONLINE]
Join paleoanthropologist and educator Briana Pobiner (National Museum of Natural History) and biological anthropologist and associate professor Amy Rector (Virginia Commonwealth University) at this month's program in the virtual HOT (Human Origins Today) Topic series. Dr. Rector talked about her work as a paleoanthropologist and what it's like to search for fossils of our ancestors in eastern and central Africa. She described why and how we decide where to look for fossils, and what it's like to be a part of a field project. She also talked about her recent work with teams in Zambia and Ethiopia, and her goal of reconstructing what the paleoenvironments of some of our earliest ancestors looked like.
Moderator: Briana Pobiner, paleoanthropologist and educator at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History.
This Zoom webinar with Amy Rector aired live on March 14, 2024 as part of the ongoing "HOT (Human Origins Today) Topic" series.
