Location: Hall of Human Origins
Come meet Laura Hunter, a pre-doctoral Fellow at NMNH and a PhD candidate at the University of Chicago Integrative Biology Program, and talk about her research! Learn about how primate hands have helped them evolve many ways to move through the world, from swinging under tree branches to walking on their knuckles to running on two feet. Explore how humans evolved hands specialized for making and using a variety of tools and how our hand anatomy impacts what we can do in our daily lives.
The Scientist Is In program provides opportunities for museum visitors to have informal conversations with scientists, and is not a formal lecture program. Drop in and join the conversation!
