We hold public events both in person and online. Please see the event listing below for more details about event date, time, and location.

In addition to the Expert is In and HOT Topic programs, we have occasional lectures, panel discussions, and other public events.

THE EXPERT IS IN: In person monthly, usually on the first Friday of the month, from 11:00am-1:00pm. The Expert Is In program provides opportunities for museum visitors to have informal conversations with experts facilitated by human evolution-related objects, and is not a formal lecture program. The Expert is In takes place in person in the Hall of Human Origins and is free. Drop in and join the conversation!

HOT (Human Origins Today) TOPIC: Online monthly, usually on the third Thursday of the month, from 11:30am-12:30pm, for four months in the spring (February-May) and four months in the fall (September-December). This online program is a presentation and extended Q&A with an expert on a 'hot' topic in human origins. This program is free, but requires registration for the webinar via the link in the program description. You can watch recordings of our previous online HOT Topic programs on this YouTube playlist.

PLEASE CHECK BACK REGULARLY AS THE DETAILS, DATES, AND TIMES OF OUR PROGRAMS OCCASIONALLY CHANGE DUE TO THE AVAILABILITY OF PARTICIPANTS AND OTHER UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES.
